TURKEY CREEK SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
With new construction and growth in the areas south of Hollister to Ridgedale, the need for sanitary sewer to protect our lakes and area environment is increasing tremendously. To fill this need the Turkey Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project was created. This project was originally known as the Ridgedale/Turkey Creek Interceptor but has been split into two separate projects. The two projects stemming from the original one have now become the Turkey Creek Interceptor project and the Ridgedale/Turkey Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Turkey Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvement project will extend a sewer line from Hollister’s WWTF up to the Branson Creek development and will eliminate the existing WWTF. This project will also provide for the reorganization of infrastructure within Branson Creek in order to allow for the existing sewer system to connect to the interceptor. It is anticipated that in 2016 the engineering design and easement acquisition will take place and construction will possibly begin sometime in 2017.
